Our self-guided Keystone snowmobile rentals provide the perfect opportunity to explore Colorado’s largest commercial trail system at your own pace, with over 55,000 acres of terrain atop Vail Pass. The mountains surrounding Keystone, Dillon, and Silverthorne combine with lofty altitudes to create a tremendous snowpack that is ideal for backcountry snowmobiling.
Based from a private lodge at the foot of the trail system, guests can set out on over 100 miles of groomed trails or choose to blaze their own through untouched powder fields filled with Colorado’s legendary champagne powder. Travel along forested hillsides, alpine ridgelines, and through open bowls and meadows as you take in incredible views of the Ten Mile and Gore Mountain Ranges. Self-Guided Snowmobile Rentals Near Keystone, Colorado
Rentals at Vail Pass offer a diverse array of terrain for experienced and first-time riders alike. Rentals are available in flexible increments of 2 hours, 4 hours, and 8 hours. Rider check-in is required 30 minutes prior to your rental start time. The check-in facility features a full-service restaurant with stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges.
Helmets and trail maps are included with every rental. Snowmobile suits, boots, and goggles are available for a small additional charge on a first come, first served basis. Rental Requirements & Policies
- Guests must provide their own transportation to the snowmobile base camp. 4-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive is recommended and frequently required during times of heavy snowfall. Please plan accordingly.
- Helmets and trail maps are included with all rentals. Snowmobile suits, boots, and goggles are available for a small additional charge on a first come, first served basis.
- Drivers must be 16 years of age with a valid driver’s license to operate a snowmobile. Drivers must be 18 years of age or older to carry a passenger.
- Prices do not include a $20.00 per person USFS Trail Use & Grooming Fee.
- All rentals are prepaid at the time of booking.
- A credit card imprint, serving as a damage deposit, is required on all rentals.
- A signed liability waiver is required prior to departure.
- All rentals have a 24-hour cancellation policy.
